The Village Family Child Care
The Village Family Child Care is a state licensed family child care center serving Clarksburg and the surrounding areas. We offer a nurturing, educational program for infants to school aged children. Our goal is to provide high quality child care by creating a safe, healthy, and caring environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of your child, and responding to the needs of your family. We partner with parents; working together to help our children grow happy, healthy, and strong and building a relationship of mutual trust and respect.
The Village Child Care Philosophy
We believe that each child is a unique and special individual who has the right to safe, stimulating, and educational child care regardless of race, gender, color, religion, ability, economic background, national origin, or ancestry. We know how hard it is to leave your child in the care of another, but please rest assured that your child will be cherished and kept safe while you are away.
Caring for children is our chosen profession. Children are very special to us and their well-being is our main concern. We truly enjoy talking and playing with each child, and meeting his or her physical and emotional needs. Your child will be loved and treated as a uniquely special person while in our care.
The Village Child Care Program
Children of all ages will thrive in our play-based program. From infancy through the "tween" years, we celebrate children's individuality, nurture their healthy development, and prepare them for success in life.
- Infants and toddlers develop secure attachments and trust through individualized care, predictable routines, and sensitive caregiving.
- Preschoolers enjoy lots of time for exploration and hands-on activities, as well as plenty of time to learn at their own pace.
- School age children (Kindergarten and up) receive opportunities to develop independence, and a wide variety of age-appropriate activities to choose from.
The Village Family Child Care Program is State Licensed
As a licensed facility, The Village is subject to a monitoring through multiple unannounced on site visits by state licensing specialist. The inspections are meant to evaluate family child care programs with regard to health and safety, adult-child ratio, caregiver training, equipment, nutrition, behavior and guidance procedures, and other hallmarks of quality child care. In addition to the State licensing inspector, the Village is subject to unannounced inspections by the County Fire Marshal to evaluate the facility for safety and compliance with the County fire and safety code. The public licensing certificate is posted on the bulletin board, and the results of the monitoring visits are available upon request.

Professionalism
Although our
child care program is home-styled, we strive to be professional in all
areas. The Village Family Child Care follows all licensing rules and regulations
in place in the State of Maryland. Each licensed child care giver must
earn a minimum 15 hours of approved continuing education each year.
The Village Child Care Resource and Referral
Our local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) is a non-profit community agency that serves Montgomery, and Frederick Counties. CCRR works with parents, child care providers, employers and the community to help promote quality child care services. If there are no openings in our child care program CCRR will help you find another Clarksburg child care program to suit your needs. Families that are not in our vicinity can visit the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) to find a CCRR agency in their area.
